The AKAS started tomato production in July 2014 after the completion of the first phase of construction in the city of Afyonkarahisar.
This greenhouse project will be done in three phases. The first phase is already constructed as a 48,000 m2. An expansion is planned for the greenhouse to reach 260,000 m2.
Vine tomatoes are produced in the greenhouse, which utilizes Dutch technology and is geothermal climate controlled. The main aim of the AKAS greenhouse is to offer the finest tasting naturally grown tomatoes to domestic and overseas customers.
SEMAY greenhouse is built with the same technology as AKAS. The SEMAY soilless agricultural project has two phases. The first phase was completed in 2014 as a 58,000 m2 glasshouse with a 3,500 m2 packaging area. The production of these tomatoes are in line with the guidelines set by GLOBALG.A.P. and has Good Agricultural Practices certificates. The second phase of the greenhouse construction will start according to the market needs. The greenhouse is set to expand to 45,000 m2. In total, the SEMAY greenhouse will reach a sum of 103,000 m2 net production area.
